Clarehouse provides a loving home, quality end-of life care and access to hospice services to people in need. They provide living space and practical care for terminally ill people, and they do not charge any fees for their services. A new branch was opened in Tulsa, and PDG was enlisted to design a welcoming and soothing grounds for the patients, families, and caregivers at Clarehouse

PDG's design process involved implementing perennial native mix, site amenities, and a pavilion to match the rustic architecture of the hospice care center. Local suppliers, gardeners, and artists were used to create the site amenities and implement the plantings. Great care was taken to preserve the existing drainage way on the undulant terrain, as well as the existing native trees and vegetation. Since there are not any fees charged for their services, two donor's kiosks are provided on the site as one way to give recognition to donors. On the site, there is a modest pavilion used as a place of gathering and tranquility; nestled in the trees, an adjoining meditative garden offers a maze and a quiet sitting area for healing and reflection. Through these preserved woodlands, the meditative gardens, and the rustic structures, a place of support and healing is provided as a home for friends and family in an otherwise difficult time.
