Society of Exploration Geophysicists Campus

Embracing a mission of connecting the world of applied geophysics, the Society of Exploration Geophysicist (SEG) is a not-for-profit organization supporting 27,000 members from 128 countries. Headquartered in Tulsa, OK, SEG is a global society dedicated to enhancing the present and future of applied geophysics. PDG was hired to create a master plan for the SEG corporate headquarters campus. The client required that the site be sustainable, support the community, and display elements that celebrate the geophysical profession. The project included 80,000 square feet of office space designed to be in keeping with the existing park-like setting of the campus. Working with the client and architect, PDG created a master plan that enhanced the architecture of the campus, promoted the geophysicist’s profession, and also included a reforestation plan for the campus. In addition, the master plan accounted for pedestrian circulation around the campus, entry gateways, and artwork integration to the site. The design and constructed elements take into account the natural beauty of the campus and its facilities, keeping in mind the wildlife habitats, functionality of the site, and sustainable design.
