Planning Design Group, working with the City of Owasso, OK, designed one of the larger playground and splash parks in Oklahoma. This project is located in the existing Owasso Sports Complex. The Master Plan includes a splash park complex with three areas including large water play structures, up right features, and numerous ground sprays, all designed to be a part of a pass through system. The project was designed with custom features and extensive graphics to establish an island theme for the playground and splash pad. The water play features were carefully chosen to separate the different levels of activity and age levels within the splash park. The facility contains numerous amenities including an existing restroom facility, shade structures, site furniture, and themed signage. PDG worked with the City’s Engineers to renovate an existing parking lot on the site, which will be constructed by City and County Staff. The project opened in June of 2022.
