PDG participated in, and won a design competition for the City of Bixby’s Downtown Master Plan and Urban Development. This project consisted of redesigning an area of downtown Bixby to include commercial areas, retail shopping, multi-family housing, hotels, restaurants, and business development. The master plan also included the redesign of an urban park, surrounding streetscapes, and entry gateway signage for the city. The Master Plan serves to establish a long-term vision of revitalizing the initial downtown core area and spurring growth south of the Arkansas River. The master planning initiative has lead to the city funding more than $14 million dollars in public improvements in the Downtown River District. These public improvement projects are being lead by the PDG team. Currently, the downtown streetscape and pedestrian bridge have been completed and working towards construction documentation on the River Access Park.
