12&12, Inc. is the largest Comprehensive Community Addiction Recovery Center (CCARC) in the state of Oklahoma. PDG worked with the organizations board of directors to provide pro-bono conceptual design work for the facilities existing courtyard. PDG was then hired to complete the full landscape architecture and construction administration services for the project. The new courtyard space provides clients in recovery space for rest, relaxation, reflection, and outdoor physical/athletic activities. The new courtyard provides staff and care givers with outdoor group meeting and individualized meeting spaces, outdoor dining and meetings space for family visits, and programmable space for activities such as outdoor yoga and horticulture therapy. The courtyard design is centered around a central gathering pavilion that host a bell ceremony with staff, family, and friend to signify the successful completion of a clients treatment program and marks the next steps in continued recovery.
